Distracted driver causes collision in Plainfield.
A distracted driver caused a two-vehicle crash in Plainfield on Saturday night according to the local police. The driver of a 2016 Hyundai Genesis admitted to taking his eyes off the road while approaching the intersection of Norwich and Dow Roads, resulting in a collision with the rear of a 2005 Ford F-150 at a traffic light. The Hyundai then hit a utility pole and was disabled. The driver sustained minor injuries and was given a warning for following too closely. The Ford had two occupants who declined medical assistance.
