Deer causes serious bicycle crash in Little Cottonwood Canyon
A 50-year-old woman biking in Little Cottonwood Canyon suffered life-threatening injuries following a crash in Little Cottonwood Canyon allegedly caused by a deer. According to the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the report of a crash at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the area of 73 East Little Cottonwood Canyon. Deputies learned the woman, Lucy Sharma, was riding her bike in the canyon when a deer entered her path. Although the biker attempted to steer away from the deer, she crashed into the animal and suffered unspecified injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
