Deadly Snowmobile Accident in Gordon Town
A man from Centuria passed away in a snowmobile accident in the Town of Gordon, as reported by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. The incident occurred on Thursday night and was reported to 911 at 9:08 pm. The victim has been identified as Marvin Sloper, a 68-year-old from Centuria, WI. Sloper, along with two others, was riding on Trail 35 when his snowmobile hit a guardrail on a bridge and he was thrown off into trees and down an embankment. Despite efforts to save him, he did not survive. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the incident.
