Deadly single-vehicle accident claimed life of Ex- NBA player
UPDATE 6:30 p.m.: According to the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office a Rayne man has died as the result of a single vehicle accident. The victim's family has been notified, and the driver has been identified as Gerald Paddio, 60, who was a former NBA player. The accident revealed that for unknown reason, the driver's vehicle left the roadway and struck a culvert. The driver was ejected and died from his injuries at the scene. ACADIA PARISH, La. (KLFY) -- Acadia Parish Sheriff officials confirmed an accident near Ebenezer Road in Acadia Parish about a mile from S&S crawfish, officials said.
