Deadly rollover in Mass. town under investigation
One person is dead after an early morning crash on Route 20 in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts on Friday.The crash was reported around 1:23 a.m. in the area of 800 Hartford Turnpike.Responding officers found a Ford sedan overturned, resting upside down on its roof, and the driver already deceased, according to the Shrewsbury Police Department.The identity of the driver is not being released at this time.According to investigators, prior to emergency personnel arriving, a Toyota sedan had struck the Ford in the roadway after the initial crash.The driver of the Toyota was uninjured.Hartford Turnpike was closed for several hours while crews investigated the crash scene.Members of the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Crash Reconstruction team are investigating the cause of the collision."The Shrewsbury Police Department extends our condolences to the victim and their family after this tragic incident," Chief Kevin Anderson wrote in a press release.No further information was immediately available.
