Deadly motorcycle accident near Las Vegas
The Nevada Highway Patrol is currently looking into a tragic incident that occurred on Saturday afternoon on southbound State Route 160 near mile marker 15 in Clark County, resulting in the closure of southbound SR‑160 while authorities investigate. Northbound lanes are still accessible, but drivers are advised to find alternate routes. A motorcycle and a pickup truck were involved in the crash, leading to the unfortunate death of the adult male motorcycle rider at the scene. Another passenger from the motorcycle was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries. Investigators have not reported any injuries to the pickup truck occupants.
