Deadly crash involving semi reported on I-435 south of stadiums in Kansas City
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A deadly crash involving a semi was reported on Interstate 435 near Sni-A-Bar Road in Kansas City early Wednesday morning, according to Kansas City police dispatch. The crash was reported about 6:09 a.m. Wednesday in the northbound lanes of I-435. According to KCPD dispatch, the crash involved a semi truck. One person was killed as a result of the crash, police said. An investigation into the crash is ongoing. Crews closed the northbound lanes of I-435 for nearly two hours as they worked to clear the scene. Delays were reported on I-435 south as well. As of 7:45 a.m., some of the northbound lanes were reopened.
