Deadly crash involving motorcycle, semi closes I-29 Wednesday afternoon
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Part of Southbound Interstate 29 is closed Wednesday afternoon in Platte County following a deadly crash involving a tractor-trailer and a motorcycle. The crash was reported just after 4:10 p.m. on I-29 near NW 64th Street. Kansas City police dispatch told FOX4 the driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries have been reported. Southbound I-29 is currently shutdown with traffic being diverted onto NW 64th Street. The Kansas City Police Department and the Missouri Highway Patrol are investigating the crash. This is a developing story.
