Deadly car crash reported on South New Hope Road in Raleigh, road closed: Police
RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A person has died in a single-vehicle crash late Saturday night in east Raleigh. According to the Raleigh Police Department, officers were called to a motor vehicle crash around 11 p.m. on the 400 block of South New Hope Road near Interstate 87. Officers said at least one person died from their injuries as a result of the crash. CBS 17 was there as police kept the area of the crash closed. Officers said in a news release Sunday morning that the 400 block of South New Hope Road was closed until investigators processed the scene. "Motorists are asked to use alternate routes and avoid the area until the roadway is reopened," officers said. This is a developing story.
