Deadly car crash in Round O, S.C. due to winter storm
A fatal single-vehicle accident occurred in Round O, South Carolina during the recent winter storm, resulting in the death of one individual and injuries to another. Colleton County Fire-Rescue recounted that a Lincoln Town Car skidded off a snow and ice-covered road, crashing into trees near Sidneys Road and Bullseye Lane. The collision caused significant damage to the car, with emergency responders finding the driver outside the vehicle with severe injuries and a passenger trapped inside, later pronounced dead. The injured driver was transported to a local trauma center for treatment. The passenger was extracted using specialized tools and taken by the Colleton County Coroner's Office. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation into the incident.
