Deadly accident near South Clovis intersection, driver dies
A tragic accident took place in Clovis, New Mexico near Curry Road 2 and U.S. HWY 70 resulting in a fatality on Tuesday morning. The incident involved a collision between a white Hyundai driven by Rogelio Velasquez III and a white Chevrolet pick-up driven by Larry Horval, causing Velasquez to be ejected from his vehicle. Despite receiving treatment at the scene from the Clovis Fire Department and being rushed to Plains Regional Medical Center, Velasquez passed away due to his injuries. The Curry County Sheriff's Office is actively investigating this case and seeking information on a vehicle that struck Velasquez after the initial collision.
