Deadly Accident at San Elijo in San Diego, CA
A traffic collision occurred on December 23, 2025, at around 2:59 PM in the 1600 block of San Elijo Rd in San Marcos. Upon arrival, emergency responders found two vehicles severely damaged. One driver was found deceased at the scene, while the other driver was taken to a trauma center for treatment. The collision involved a white vehicle traveling westbound on SAN DIEGO Hill Road, losing control, crossing the median, and colliding with the other vehicle. Eastbound lanes of San Elijo Road will be closed for investigation, causing significant traffic delays as alternate routes are utilized. The incident is being handled by the SDSO CFD.
