Cyclist struck, killed in overnight Pacific Beach crash

(FOX 5/KUSI) — A man on a bike was struck and killed by a vehicle in an overnight crash in Pacific Beach. San Diego police said the crash happened shortly before 1 a.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of Fanuel Street and Grand Avenue. Police said the cyclist was riding southbound on Fanuel Street and turned right onto westbound Grand Avenue. A sedan heading westbound on Grand Ave. struck the cyclist, who was later pronounced dead at the site of the crash. Police said alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
