Cyclist dead after bike collision in Davis
(FOX40.COM) — A cyclist is dead after two bicyclists collided in Davis. The Davis Police Department responded at about 2:48 p.m. Monday to a report of a bike crash. When they arrived, first responders found two injured cyclists. One person was declared dead at the scene. The second suffered minor injuries and cooperated with investigators, police said. The exact circumstances of the death remain under investigation. Davis police did not release the identity of the cyclist who died because they are still notifying their next of kin. A bike path in the area — near West Covell Boulevard and Catalina Drive — is temporarily closed. Police encouraged witnesses or anyone with information to contact the department.
