Crash with serious injuries shuts down Route 8 South in Naugatuck
NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WTNH) — Serious injuries were reported after a crash on Tuesday on Route South in Naugatuck, according to state police. The initial rollover crash took place around 3:40 p.m. between Exits 27 and 26. State police said the operator of the vehicle was taken to al hospital with serious injuries. A subsequent crash took place in the vicinity of where the first crash took place. No injuries were reported in the second crash. Route 8 South is closed and traffic is being diverted at Exit 27, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
