Crash shuts down I-35 in both directions in north Austin
A large crash has shut down both directions of I-35 in north Austin while responders work to investigate and clean up the area. APD says that the call for the crash came in at around 5:27 a.m. near where I-35 intersects with Howard Lane. Officials say a large truck going northbound hit a concrete barrier on the freeway, causing it to move in the middle of the southbound lanes. Police say there was a subsequent crash going in the other direction as well.
