Crash, ‘police activity’ closes all lanes on I-69 in Madison County
MADISON COUNTY, Ind. — A crash closed all lanes of I-69 in the southbound direction in Madison County on Monday morning. Traffic was halted due to reported "police activity" that resulted in a crash along the 218.4 mile marker at approximately 9:26 a.m., according to the Indiana State Police. Lead agency, the Grant County Sheriff's Office, reported that two individuals pointed a firearm at a "subject" in Grant County. Two people were reportedly arrested, after a pursuit ended in a crash on the interstate. While traffic was being diverted onto State Road 38, all lanes are now open.
