This resulted in a collision with the log truck, causing significant damage to both vehicles. Fortunately, the Kia driver sustained only minor injuries. The eastbound lanes of U.S. 70 remained closed for approximately two hours as authorities worked to clear the debris. The highway was reopened shortly before 4:45 p.m., about four hours after the incident occurred. The Kia driver was cited for unsafe movement, while the log truck driver escaped unharmed.
