Crash on Mass Pike in Wilbraham causes traffic delays
WILBRAHAM, Mass. (WWLP) - A single-vehicle crash on the Mass Pike caused significant traffic delays Friday afternoon in Wilbraham before all lanes were reopened less than an hour later. According to the Massachusetts State Police, troopers responded shortly after 4 p.m. to a crash on Interstate 90 westbound in Wilbraham. The incident prompted the closure of the left travel lane, leading to heavy traffic backups for westbound motorists approaching Ludlow. Authorities said eastbound traffic was also affected as a secondary result of the congestion. All lanes were reopened by approximately 4:40 p.m., restoring normal traffic flow in both directions. State Police did not immediately release information about injuries or the circumstances surrounding the crash.
