Crash on Edens Expressway involving 6 vehicles and pedestrian in Chicago's northern suburbs
A pedestrian was hit in a crash involving six vehicles that led to the closure of part of the Edens Expressway in the north suburbs of Chicago. The incident occurred early Sunday morning between Dempster Street and Golf Road in Skokie. Illinois State Police reported that at 4:47 a.m., the six vehicles were involved in the collision on the northbound lanes. The pedestrian was struck by one of the cars, and both the pedestrian and individuals from the vehicles were transported to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. The severity of the injuries and the circumstances of the pedestrian being on the road were not immediately known. State police closed several lanes of the expressway from Dempster Street to Lake Avenue for investigation.
