Crash on Battlefield Boulevard South leaves car overturned, 1 person injured
CHESAPEAKE, Va., (WAVY) — One person was injured and taken to the hospital after an accident at the intersection of Battlefield Boulevard South and Johnstown Road on May 28. A vehicle traveling northbound on Battlefield Boulevard South ran a red light, according to Chesapeake police. It then hit a vehicle traveling through the intersection, causing the struck vehicle to overturn on its side, Police Officer Leo Kosinski said in a statement. Officers responded at approximately 10:39 a.m. and are investigating the incident. A crew cleared the roadway with a tow truck, removing both vehicles from the street, while traffic continued to flow in the opposite lane.
