A crash involving multiple large vehicles shut down all northbound lanes of Interstate 5 (I-5) at 72nd Street on Friday evening, snarling traffic for commuters. Northbound I-5 at 72nd Street was fully blocked due to a collision involving two semis and three cars, Washington State Patrol (WSP) said. Some of the vehicles became fully engulfed, but the agency said there were only minor injuries. Traffic was diverted to the 72nd Street off-ramp. Drivers should expect delays on the Friday evening commute. The road fully reopened around 4 p.m.
