Crash involving sedan and transit bus closes Torrington road, causes power outages
TORRINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) -- A crash involving a sedan and a transit bus has closed a road and caused hundreds of power outages Monday morning in Torrington, according to local police dispatch. The crash happened on Kennedy Drive, prompting a road closure at Torringford West Street. Additionally, the road closure is expected to affect drivers coming off the Route 8 exit in the area. According to police dispatch, a pole was struck during the crash, leaving about 300 residences without power as of 10:30 a.m. Power was restored by 12:30 p.m. No injuries were reported, police dispatch said.
