Crash involving multiple semis closes lanes of EB I-80 in Joliet
JOLIET, Ill. — All lanes have reopened on Interstate 80 after a major crash involving multiple semi trucks in Joliet Thursday morning. According to Illinois State Police, troopers responded to reports of a five-vehicle crash on eastbound I-80 at Milepost 126.2 (I-55 Interchange) around 7:50 a.m. All lanes were closed on eastbound I-80 at the I-55 interchange for several hours for a crash investigation. ISP reports there was diesel fuel spilled on the ground in the area. As of 11 a.m. Thursday, all lanes had reopened to traffic. No further information has been provided at this time.
