Crash injures Hernando County deputy and another driver.

A deputy from the Hernando County Sheriff's Office was involved in a rollover accident in Brooksville on Saturday morning, resulting in the deputy being hospitalized. The incident occurred at approximately 11 a.m. on U.S. 41 close to Grand Entrada Boulevard. The southbound lanes of U.S. 41 were shut down as emergency personnel responded to the crash scene, which involved a patrol car and another vehicle. The deputy's vehicle rolled over during the collision. Both drivers were trapped in their vehicles and had to be rescued. The injured deputy was taken to a trauma center, and the other driver was transported to a nearby hospital. Thankfully, none of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening. The Florida Highway Patrol will be conducting an investigation into the accident.
