Crash closes Route 2 West in East Hartford
EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A crash has closed Route 2 West at the Interstate 84 merge Monday morning, according to officials with the Connecticut Department of Transportation. The CTDOT's website shows the crash was first reported around 4:45 a.m. The westbound side of the highway remains closed between exits 2 and 1D. The High Street onramp to Route 2 West is closed as well. CTDOT cameras show no movement on the westbound side of the highway; however, the camera for the crash area is blacked out to the public. Drivers can take the Putnam Bridge from I-91 into Hartford for an alternative route. This is a developing story. Stay with News 8 for updates.
