Crash blocks lanes, causes "significant delays" on I-95 in Biddeford
A crash on the I-95 in Biddeford is causing significant delays for drivers Monday morning. According to a traffic alert sent by the Maine Turnpike Authority, the crash happened northbound on the I-95 between Exit 32 in Biddeford and Exit 36 in Saco. The crash briefly shutdown all lanes of the highway. By 6:30 a.m. officials said that the left and center lanes were back open but the right lane was still blocked at mile 33. By 7:25 a.m., officials had reopened all lanes but added that major delays remain in the area. It's unclear what caused the crash and officials did share how many vehicles were involved. The crash was one of several on Maine roads Monday morning amid icy conditions. Officials with Kennebunk Fire and Rescue responded to a separate crash on the Maine Turnpike and warned about numerous other ones on the I-295 and local roads.
