Coroner’s office identifies 2 killed in Yolo County I-5 wrong-way crash

(FOX40.COM) — The two people who died in the wrong way crash on Interstate 5 on Monday were identified by the Yolo County Coroner's Office. The California Highway Patrol said the crash happened just before midnight on I-5 near County Road 8 in the Woodland area. Officials said the driver of a Honda was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of I-5 when it collided head-on with a Toyota. The driver of the Honda, identified as Efrain Maximo Martinez, 30, from Woodland, died. The passenger in the Toyota, identified as Gracie Ellen Pack Meiggs, 37, of Carmel, also died. The driver of the Toyota was hospitalized. Alcohol and/or drugs are believed to be contributing factors in the crash.
