Community plans vigil and search for Chicago man missing for 2 weeks post car crash
Authorities in Chicago, supported by loved ones, are on the lookout for a man from the South Side who has been missing for two weeks following a car accident in Blue Island, Illinois. 59-year-old Daniel Davis III was last spotted on Nov. 26 at approximately 6:30 p.m. after a collision near St. Donatus Parish. Surveillance footage shows him after the accident, indicating that he may have sustained a head injury. The Chicago Police Department reported that Daniels was last physically seen at 1:15 a.m. leaving the 115 Bourbon Street bar in Merrionette Park, Illinois. Described as a white male, 5 ft. 8 in. tall, weighing about 170 lbs, with some gray hair and brown eyes, Daniels was last dressed in a black baseball hat, black Harley Davidson jacket, red sweatshirt, and black jeans. Concerns have been raised that he may require medical assistance. A candlelight vigil will take place on Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. at the 115 Bourbon Street bar, followed by a search effort.
