Cleveland police ask for help identifying vehicle involved in deadly hit-and-run crash with electric scooter
CLEVELAND (WJW) -- A victim of a hit-and-run crash earlier this month has died, police said Sunday, and the public is being asked to help identify the vehicle involved. Around 10:45 p.m. on March 9, a black or dark-colored vehicle hit a man operating an electric scooter on W. 14th Street at the intersection with Fairfield Road, a Sunday news release from police said. According to the release, the man on the scooter was going south on W. 14th Street when the vehicle hit him from behind and continued on without stopping. The man on the scooter was hospitalized with multiple fractures and internal injuries, police said. He were released from the hospital, however on March 28 he was pronounced dead "due to complications from those injuries."
