CHP Napa investigates fatal crash on Highway 12
(KRON) -- The California Highway Patrol Napa area office is investigating a fatal crash Tuesday afternoon on Highway 12 that shut down traffic. CHP Napa said the incident, involving major injuries, occurred around 1:52 p.m. Due to the crash, Highway 12, eastbound east of Kelly Road, was closed, and drivers were initially advised to take Highway 29 to American Canyon Road to access Interstate 80. The roadway was cleared and reopened by 3:23 p.m., according to CHP. It is not yet clear what led to the crash, or how many vehicles were involved.
