Child severely hurt in Escondido hit-and-run
An 11-year-old boy was seriously injured in Escondido when a car hit him on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred near East Washington Avenue and North Hickory Street. The boy was first taken to a nearby hospital and then airlifted to Rady Children’s Hospital in critical condition. The driver who hit him did not stay at the scene, and police are now trying to locate both the driver and the vehicle involved.
