Charges pending in deadly Feb. 5 crash in RC
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- Charges are pending against a 30-year-old driver and the 43-year-old passenger in the SUV involved in a fatal crash in Rapid City on Feb. 5, the state Department of Public Safety said. A 22-year-old woman died from injuries suffered in a crash that happened as the SUV refused to stop for the highway patrol, the DPS said. The DPS said the crash happened just after 7 a.m. on Feb. 5. Officials say troopers tried to stop an SUV for no license plates, but it took off. Authorities say the driver failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a pickup. The driver of the pickup suffered minor injuries. All four people in the SUV were taken to the hospital. The 22-year-old died from her injuries Thursday.
