Car, semi involved in fatal Vanderburgh County crash
VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Ind (WEHT) - Evansville Dispatch has confirmed a fatal crash on I-69 just off of Boonville New Harmony Road. Officials state it was called in as an accident with injury at about 5:03 a.m. The northbound lanes have been closed as a result. The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office and Vanderburgh County Fire Department responded. Sgt. Chad Howard with the sheriff's office says the crash involved a passenger car and a semi. A reconstruction team is on scene trying to figure out what happened. Howard also recommended a detour of taking the Boonville New Harmony exit then go west to Green River Road then taking that north to Highway 57. No word on when I-69 north will be reopened.
