Car launches into the air, throwing driver into swimming pool
Frightening video from a home security camera in southern Nevada captures the dramatic moment a car crashes through a backyard wall, goes airborne, and throws the driver into a private swimming pool. The incident occurred in Laughlin on the evening of December 15, as reported by FOX 5 Las Vegas. Police reports suggested that the driver was speeding and failed to stop, causing the vehicle to crash through a concrete wall and launch into the air before landing near the pool. Following the crash, the driver was seen struggling in the pool after being ejected from the car. The homeowner, Cletis Reed, recalls hearing a loud noise like a "freight train" before discovering his destroyed backyard and the driver in the pool. Fortunately, Reed narrowly missed being in harm's way himself. The driver was rescued from the pool and taken to a hospital in Arizona, while Reed estimates the cost of repairs to his pool and property to be close to $300,000.
