Car crashes into Clearwater Christmas shop: Responders
A car collided with Robert's Christmas Wonderland on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard in Clearwater on Monday afternoon, according to first responders. The Clearwater Police Department and fire crews were called to the scene just before 5 p.m. after a Nissan Maxima struck the building. Officials reported that the incident occurred in the 2900 block of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard when the driver lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle veered across three eastbound lanes before crashing into the holiday store. Thankfully, no one inside the shop was injured, though the driver was taken to Mease Countryside Hospital for evaluation of potential minor injuries. The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
