Cambria County man killed in early-morning motorcycle crash
MUNSTER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WTAJ) -- The Cambria County Coroner was called to an early morning motorcycle crash Monday. The crash happened just before 2 a.m. at the intersection of Cooney and McConnell roads in Munster Township. State police report that 27-year-old Calvin Ates, of Nanty Glo, was traveling on the roadway and lost control of his Harley-Davidson CVO in a left curve. The motorcycle left the roadway and overturned multiple times, reentering the roadway before coming to a stop in the opposite lane. During this, Ates was thrown from the motorcycle after first leaving the roadway. Ates was pronounced dead at the scene by the Cambria County Coroner's office.
