Bystanders save driver from river crash near Denver

On Sunday evening, in the Denver metro area, bystanders came to the rescue of a driver whose car had rolled and crashed into the South Platte River at 58th Avenue and York Street. The Adams County Fire Rescue believe speed was a factor in the accident. The driver was pulled from the partially submerged and overturned car by onlookers just before first responders arrived. The driver's current condition remains undisclosed after being taken to a nearby hospital. Colorado State Patrol confirmed road closures at the crash site and suggested drivers find alternative routes.
