BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo woman has pleaded guilty to charges related to a drunk driving accident that killed an 81-year-old man last December, the Erie County District Attorney's Office said Monday. Renaiyah Cornelious, 32, hit and killed the man, identified as Daniel Zuchlewski, at the intersection of McKinley Avenue and Lorraine Avenue on Dec. 27, 2025. Cornelious was under the influence of alcohol and cannabis at the time of the crash. Zuchlewski, who was walking a dog through the intersection, was pronounced dead at the scene. The dog was not injured. Cornelious pleaded guilty Friday to second-degree vehicular manslaughter and aggravated driving while intoxicated. She faces a maximum of seven years in prison and is scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 7. Prosecutors requested she be held in jail, but she remains out on bail.
