Boy from Wisconsin passes away following accident in Richmond Township.
A tragic accident occurred in St. Croix County when a vehicle lost control on an icy curve, resulting in the death of an 8-year-old passenger and serious injuries to his mother. The incident was reported on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, on County Road A in Richmond Township. The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash involving a Chrysler Pacifica and a Subaru Outback. The young passenger, identified as Owen P. Hailey, was critically injured and unfortunately passed away at Regions Hospital later that day. The driver of the Chrysler and the driver of the Subaru sustained injuries but survived. The Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude to the emergency responders and medical staff involved in the incident. This marks the tenth traffic fatality in St. Croix County for the year 2025, and the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
