Boxer Anthony Joshua gives first public update following car accident that claimed lives of 2 friends
In his first public update since the tragic car crash in Nigeria that claimed the lives of his friends, former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua shared a photo on Instagram of himself with his mother and three other women. He added the caption “My Brothers Keeper” along with two hearts. Reports indicate that Joshua has returned to Britain for the funerals of Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele, who passed away after the vehicle they were traveling in with Joshua collided with a stationary truck near Lagos. Joshua, who sustained minor injuries, was discharged from the hospital and is now recovering at home. Ghami was Joshua’s strength and conditioning coach, while Ayodele was a trainer. The driver of the car has been charged with dangerous driving, with the court case scheduled for Jan. 20. Meanwhile, Tyson Fury has announced his return to boxing, sparking speculation about a potential fight with Joshua, who has not yet addressed his future in the sport.
