An investigation into a boat crash that killed a young woman in Boston continues Friday.Elizabeth "Lizzie" Dankert, 24, of Andover, Massachusetts, and two other women were with Lawrence Shieh, 40, who was operating a boat late Wednesday night when it crashed into a pier near Logan International Airport.Dankert suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The other three people were less seriously injured. Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden's office said Dankert and her two friends were in the Seaport District earlier Wednesday night when they boarded the boat.Dankert was a standout athlete who played soccer at Union College in New York. She also graduated from Central Catholic High School in Lawrence. According to Freedom Boat Club, where the boat was docked in Boston's Seaport District, the boat was taken without permission."The vessel involved was taken without authorization and operated outside the knowledge and control of the Club, well after the Club had closed for the day," the club said. "We are cooperating fully with all relevant authorities."The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
