Big truck tips over on 91 Freeway in Anaheim, obstructing several lanes
An incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday on the eastbound 91 Freeway in Anaheim when a large truck overturned in foggy conditions, causing several lanes near the 55 Freeway to be blocked for an extended period. The crash, which happened around 2:35 a.m., resulted in the fully loaded truck obstructing three middle lanes. Initially, the California Highway Patrol mentioned that the driver was trapped in the cab following the accident. Subsequently, fire crews evaluated the driver at the scene and then let them go. To allow for the investigation and cleanup, a SigAlert was put in place shortly before 3 a.m., leading to the closure of multiple lanes. Although by 3:30 a.m., the two left lanes had reopened, the duration of the closure for the remaining lanes was uncertain. As of 6 a.m., some lanes were still shut, but the CHP provided an update suggesting that towing was in progress, and the SigAlert was expected to be lifted within the next hour. The road was completely clear by 7 a.m., while authorities continue to look into the cause of the crash.
