Bicyclist killed in vehicle wreck on Seymour Highway
WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — Wichita Falls Police confirmed a bicyclist was killed following a vehicle wreck on Seymour Highway Friday morning. At about 8:23 a.m. on Friday, April 10, Wichita Falls first responders were called to the intersection of Seymour Highway and Denver Street for reports of a wreck involving a bicyclist. According to responding officers, a cyclist and a gray RAM pickup truck were both traveling eastbound in the 1800 block of Seymour Highway when the wreck occurred. The cyclist, a 65-year-old male, was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Wichita Falls Accident Investigators Unit is on scene of the crash. The driver of the pickup and witnesses to the wreck remained on scene to speak with investigators. The bicyclist has not been identified at this time, pending notification of next of kin.
