Beltway Shut Down Due to Tanker Rollover and Fuel Spill
A significant amount of fuel leaked as a result of a recent tanker accident in Baltimore County. As a precaution, both directions of the Beltway will be closed for an extended period of time. Approximately 7,000 gallons of gasoline/diesel fuel were spilled, with foam operations already in progress. Hazardous materials and Maryland Department of the Environment responders are on the scene to address the situation.
