Backups persist after person killed in crash on I-35 South in Johnson County, Kansas
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- One person is dead after a crash on Interstate 35 in Johnson County, Kansas. The Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) said one person was killed in the crash that happened just before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. It happened on I-35 South near Lone Elm Road, near the weigh station in Olathe. No other vehicles were involved in the crash. As of 3 p.m., one lane of I-35 South appears to have reopened.
