Arrest made in double fatal crash caused by wrong-way driver

A tragic incident occurred in Salt Lake City early Saturday morning resulting in the loss of a young couple's lives due to a collision with a wrong-way driver. The driver, Jose Angel Torres Jimenez, aged 21, has been taken into custody in Salt Lake County on serious charges including two counts of automobile homicide, driving under the influence in the wrong direction on the highway, and a violation of a learner's permit. The Utah Highway Patrol responded to reports of a wrong-way driver entering the freeway heading southbound in the northbound lanes at around 1:50 a.m. on November 29.
