Arkansas woman charged in fatal drunk driving crash

(KODE/KSNF) — Charges are filed against an Arkansas woman after authorities say she killed her teenage sister in a drunk driving crash in Barry County back in February. Earlier today, Barry County prosecutors filed charges against Isabel Gomez, 24. She's charged with DWI leading to the death of another, using a cell phone while driving leading to a deadly crash and driving on the wrong side of the road. According to court documents, the crash happened on February 21 on Missouri State Highway 76, east of State Highway 86. Missouri Highway Patrol Troopers say Gomez's teenage sister died at the scene. They say Gomez's eyes were watery and bloodshot and she told authorities the two were driving to Silver Dollar City when the crash happened. Investigators say blood tests showed her BAC was .240 Authorities say Gomez admitted she had been drinking the night before and was looking at her phone for directions.
