Altoona bar damaged in collision with two cars
A traffic accident caused a section of 7th Avenue in Altoona to be closed off on Wednesday afternoon. Two vehicles collided at the intersection of 6th Street and 7th Avenue when they both tried to pass through at the same time. The cars struck the side of iRN & Wild Brew Pub, damaging the front door. Emergency responders had to extricate a trapped driver from one of the vehicles, who was subsequently taken to UPMC Altoona for minor injuries. Due to the wreckage and spilled chemicals from the vehicles, authorities shut down the road to conduct cleanup operations both on the street and within the building. The road has since been reopened.
