All lanes on I-71 southbound reopened after semi crash just outside of downtown Cincinnati
All southbound lanes have reopened on Interstate 71 after a crash that caused major backups Thursday morning. It happened near Gilbert Avenue just outside of downtown Cincinnati.A semi truck was involved in the crash. It's unclear if the semi hit the wall or was hit by another vehicle that then fled the scene.Traffic is moved slowly in the approach to the Lytle Tunnel on I-71 southbound for much of the morning.For a look at the response to the scene, see the video at the top of this story.This story will be updated when we learn more.
